The sculptural house project named MU77, Located on Mulholland Drive, this luxury single-family residence scheme was molded by the strict regulations of the (Mulholland Scenic corridor plan) along with the extreme site constraints.

This hillside residence is integrated into the surrounding landscape, with a geometric appearance opted to mimic the terrain and sudden deviations of rock formations within the natural landscapes. Sunken about 18ft below street level to ensure clear views from the street atop of the building, fitting the project within the two story envelop became the main limitation.

So naturally, the private rooms and a convertible office with a sliding partition wall were housed in the upper level and the main living and entertainment centers were situated on the lower level, aligned with the outdoor deck and infinity pool.

MU77 House project recently earned a 2016 Design Award from the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The award is given to a project that demonstrates excellence in design.
